A gift from the Mother of the Emirates…the sailing of the sixth largest aid ship within “The Gallant Knight 3”, carrying 5,800 tons to support “Gaza”

The sixth Emirati aid ship sailed today, carrying on board a gift from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, heading to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip, as part of “Operation” The Gallant Knight 3″ to support the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The ship carries on board 5,800 tons of humanitarian materials, food materials, shelter materials, and medical supplies, which were provided by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, and the Dar Al Ber Society. And the Sharjah Charitable Society.

This aid coincides with the launch of the largest phase of Operation Gallant Knight 3 in Gaza, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him.” Operation Gallant Knight intensified its efforts to meet the urgent needs of the brothers with the announcement of the truce.

Within the framework of Operation “Gallant Knight 3”, the UAE established many initiatives, including the establishment of two field hospitals, the first inside the Gaza Strip, and the second a floating hospital off the coast of the city of Arish, in addition to the establishment of 5 automatic bakeries. Flour was also provided to 9 existing bakeries and support to 37 popular kitchens in Gaza, in addition to the establishment of 6 desalination plants that produce two million gallons of water per day, which is pumped to the Gaza Strip and benefits more than 600,000 people. 53 successful air drops of humanitarian aid were also carried out on isolated areas where aid cannot reach in the Gaza Strip, with the total aid dropped amounting to 3,700 tons of relief and humanitarian aid as part of the Birds of Good humanitarian operation, and the medical sector was supported with more than 700 tons of equipment. Medical equipment, medicines, medical consumables and 15 ambulances, as well as supporting the Coastal Water Authority with 8 water tanks and 4 sewage tanks.

The UAE continues to work to intensify efforts to ensure the flow and arrival of aid and its distribution through all available means and methods to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip.

Sending relief aid by sea, land and air embodies the UAE’s historic and firm commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, as it does not hesitate to provide all forms of humanitarian support to our Palestinian brothers.
