The border guards’ ground patrols in the Al-Da’ir sector in the Jazan region arrested (13) violators of the border security system of Yemeni nationality, for smuggling (234) kilograms of khat plant, and the initial regulatory procedures were completed against them, and they and the seized items were handed over to the competent authority.
The General Directorate of Narcotics Control was able to arrest a violator of the border security system and residents of Yemeni nationality in the Najran region. For promoting the drug amphetamine, they were stopped, legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution.

Environmental violations

The Environmental Security Special Forces arrested a citizen who violated the environmental law, for committing two violations of cutting fences and entering a reserve without a license in the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve. Legal procedures were applied against him and he was referred to the competent authority.
It also arrested two residents of Egyptian nationality, violating the environmental law, for storing more than (8) cubic meters of local coal in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. Regular procedures were applied against them, and the seized quantities were handed over to the competent authority.
The forces explained that the penalty for cutting or damaging the fences of protected areas reaches (100,000) riyals, with the violator being obligated to treat the damages and pay compensation, and the penalty for violating entering protected areas without a license is a fine (5,000) riyals, and the penalty for storing local coal reaches (16,000) riyals per meter. cube.
