Dubai Press Club and the Media Academy organize a joint program on integrating artificial intelligence into the media sector

DUBAI, 22nd JANUARY / WAM / The Dubai Press Club, in cooperation with the Dubai Media Academy, organized a series of knowledge sessions to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating artificial intelligence into media strategies.
The joint program aimed to develop the capabilities of workers in media institutions, accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence tools and employ them efficiently among media professionals in the region, and enable them to explore the enormous potential of artificial intelligence technology in developing their media operations.
Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club, expressed her appreciation to the Dubai Media Academy for its efforts in launching this joint program with the Dubai Press Club, which included an elite group of media experts in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Busamra added that the program included knowledge sessions and interactive workshops held at the Dubai Press Club headquarters, which allowed workers in the media sector to design and apply innovative artificial intelligence solutions, which contributes to enhancing the quality of future opportunities to come.
She stressed that the program for integrating artificial intelligence into media strategies is an ideal platform for developing innovative media business models based on artificial intelligence, as well as exchanging experiences and knowledge with other participants.

One of these sessions, entitled “From the Laboratory to the Newsroom: Success Stories of Transforming Artificial Intelligence into a Media Reality,” reviewed successful practical experiences of leading media institutions in employing artificial intelligence, with a focus on tangible results and lessons learned in the areas of content production, analysis, and distribution, in which participants participated. A group of companies and institutions specialized in this field, including: Ingram Micro, G&K, Forbes, CNBC Arabia, the American University of Science and Technology, and Dubai Media Incorporated.
While a group of specialized institutions and companies participated in a session held under the title: “The Turning Point: Confronting the Rising Challenges of Artificial Intelligence in the Media – Truth, Balance, Comprehensiveness and Intellectual Property,” with the participation of Dell, which specializes in artificial intelligence technologies, Abu Dhabi University, and Sky Channel. Participants discussed the main challenges facing the media sector with the spread of artificial intelligence, from fake content to issues of bias and the language gap, while exploring practical solutions to these challenges.
