With a magnitude of 5.2, a new earthquake hits Japan’s Fukushima

Today, an earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan.
The Meteorological Agency stated that there is no risk of a tsunami.

The intensity of the earthquake reached the lowest levels of 5 on the Japanese seismic scale, which ranges between zero and 7, in the village of Hinomata in the prefecture.
The agency explained that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 4 kilometers, and there have been no reports so far of human casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.

Earthquake in southwest Japan

About a week ago, an earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of southwestern Japan.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency then issued a warning of possible tsunami waves.
It also issued warnings to Miyazaki Prefecture on Kyushu Island, as well as Kochi Prefecture in southern Japan.
The authorities also urged local residents not to enter the sea or approach the coast until the warning is lifted.
