The UAE condemns the Israeli attack on the city of Jenin in the West Bank
Abu Dhabi, January 23 / WAM / The UAE expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to fulfill its responsibility to stop the continuing Israeli violations, and stressed the need for concerted efforts to stop the escalation of tension to prevent bloodshed, and for civilians to enjoy full protection in accordance with international law and international treaties.
The Ministry called on the international community to make efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire to prevent further loss of life, avoid further inflaming the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory and the region, and to advance all efforts to achieve comprehensive and just peace.
The Ministry stressed the need to support all regional and international efforts to revive the peace process in the Middle East, as well as putting an end to the illegal practices that threaten the two-state solution. It also reiterated that the UAE is steadfast in its commitment to promoting peace, justice and realizing the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people.
