The World Health Organization praises Egypt’s efforts to enhance biomanufacturing capabilities

Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, received a delegation from the World Health Organization (Local Production & Assistance Unit), which visited the Authority over two consecutive days, with the aim of cooperating in the field of training in biomanufacturing and meeting needs. The organization’s delegation included Dr. Alain Fauconnier, Technical Officer, Local Production and Assistance Unit, WHO Headquarters, Pua Wei Ling, Advisor, WHO Headquarters, Dr. Hoda Langer, Regional Advisor on Access to Medicines and Vaccines, WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, and Dr. Uday Nuseirat, Technical Officer for Access to Medicines and Vaccines at the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, and Dr. Nima Abed, head of the World Health Organization office in Egypt, and Dr. Mona Maarouf, Medical and Pharmaceuticals Officer, WHO Office in Egypt.

For his part, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi welcomed the WHO delegation, and stressed the Egyptian Medicine Authority’s gratitude for the efforts made by the World Health Organization to support the system. Regulatory Authority in Egypt, and the Authority’s keenness to improve the public health of the Egyptian citizen, strengthen the pharmaceutical industry and develop the regulatory system. He explained that the Egyptian Drug Authority seeks to benefit from the World Health Organization’s programs in the field of training, and works in accordance with the system. The organization’s reference point, and it is keen to obtain the latest developments that the organization has reached with the aim of supporting the Egyptian pharmaceutical system and bringing it to the highest international levels in regulation, oversight and governance of the pharmaceutical market.

Dr. also praised.
