"National Human Rights" It organizes an effectiveness on the sidelines of the review meetings in Geneva

The National Council for Human Rights organized today, in cooperation with the Danish Institute for Human Rights, an important side event on the sidelines of the discussion of the report of the Arab Republic of Egypt in front of the comprehensive periodic review mechanism in Geneva, at the United Nations headquarters.
The event dealt with the subject & quot; The Human Rights Case in Egypt during the period from 2019 to 2024: What has been achieved? Mushira Khattab, Chairman of the National Council for Human Rights, who stressed in her speech the importance of transparency and continuous cooperation with international mechanisms to achieve tangible human rights progress. Discussing issues related to civil and political freedoms, explaining the role that Egypt plays in strengthening these rights at the local and international levels, stressing the need to engage with civil and political rights cases, and to achieve tangible progress in the field of public freedoms, freedom of opinion, expression, the penal law and the Criminal Procedure Law. >
For her part, Sarah Forte, Head of the Human Rights Department at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, presented her vision on global challenges related to human rights, and the importance of cooperation between international and local organizations to enhance the rights of individuals. Followed to improve the effectiveness of comprehensive periodic review mechanisms and enhance cooperation between countries and organizations. The event allowed an open dialogue platform between the participants, where opinions and experiences were exchanged on ways to enhance human rights in Egypt and the world. In this regard, in addition to enhancing communication with the international community to determine the common challenges and enhance cooperation to enhance human rights worldwide.
