Arab appreciation for the UAE’s efforts to support the human rights file regionally and internationally

Ambassador Talal Al-Mutairi, Chairman of the Arab Permanent Committee for Human Rights, praised the efforts of the United Arab Emirates in the field of human rights, noting that the UAE has shown great keenness to promote human rights nationally and regionally through legislative reforms and political and social initiatives aimed at promoting basic freedoms and protecting human rights. This came in Al-Mutairi’s speech, during the twenty-seventh session of the Arab Charter on Human Rights Committee dedicated to discussing the second periodic report of the United Arab Emirates at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

Al-Mutairi appreciated the UAE’s efforts to support the human rights file at the regional and international levels, through its active participation in various forums and its support for efforts aimed at promoting peace, justice and human rights in the world.

Al-Mutairi congratulated the United Arab Emirates on submitting its second report, which he described as an important step in its commitment to the Arab Charter on Human Rights, and a testimony to an ambitious journey towards building a just and prosperous society, which reflects an insightful vision and a steadfast will to achieve progress in the field of human rights.
