Dubai on February 1/ WAM/ The Sikka Art Festival, whose activities were launched yesterday in the Al -Shindagha Heritage District in Dubai, is a leading platform for emerging artists to display their works and an opportunity for artists, amateurs and visitors in general to interact in an artistic environment full of creativity.
Sheikh Maktoum bin Marwan Al Maktoum, the main technical values of the festival, said that the festival aims to encourage artists to present their works to be evaluated by a specialized committee based on its previous content and works, describing the festival as an artistic event that focuses on emerging artists and gives them the opportunity to integrate and communicate with advanced artists and provides amateurs Visitors are also an artistic environment that stimulates creativity and highlights heritage and art in the region.
For his part, Nasser Badri, director of the Sikka Festival of Art and Design Festival, stated that in light of the expansion and the high number of participants and the public, the festival moved in its current version to the historic Al -Shindagha neighborhood in a move that reflects the development witnessed by the event with the increasing local and international interest in artistic activities in Dubai.
He explained that the current version, which is the thirteenth, includes the “Gulf House” project, which includes artists from various Gulf countries, stressing the importance of such regional initiatives in enhancing technical and cultural ties and increasing cooperation opportunities between the artists of the region.
The festival includes about 30 general art facilities that include new and innovative artworks that reflect the talents of the participating artists.
