Sharjah Fish Resources Authority concludes a visit to Saudi Arabia

Sharjah, February 6 / WAM / A delegation from the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority concluded a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the aim of highlighting the distinguished role of Sharjah in preserving fish wealth, achieving self -sufficiency, supporting the hunting and fishermen profession and enhancing the local market to support food security and developing the water farming sector.

The delegation of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority met officials of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and stressed the importance of cooperation, joint coordination and exchange of experiences between the two sides.

For his part, His Excellency Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazia, Chairman of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority, stressed that this visit reflects the authority’s keenness to enhance joint cooperation with the relevant authorities in the field of fish wealth and fish farming inside and outside the country and exchange experiences and see successful experiences in this field as well as transfer the experience of the Emirate of Sharjah The distinguished and the efforts of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority and its definition and highlighting its achievements, especially in light of the qualitative boom witnessed by the emirate in the projects of self -sufficiency and food security, as well as exploring the latest technologies used in sustainability and water production in neighboring countries.

The visit of the delegation included King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where he was briefed on water farming development programs, algae development and fish fisheries.

The Arasco Factory for Feed Production visited the latest technologies used in the manufacture of fish feed and its role in improving the efficiency of environmental production and sustainability in addition to the visit of the Saudi factory for fish farming systems “Sacoa” specializing in the manufacture of fish farming systems to see the latest innovations in the field of closed education systems The technology used to improve production efficiency.
The delegation of the commission participated in the Saudi International Fisheries Exhibition 2025, which is one of the largest specialized activities in the water farming sector, fisheries and seafood in the region.

He held meetings with experts, investors and specialized companies to exchange experiences, review the latest innovations, and discuss cooperation opportunities with global experience houses to develop sustainable fish farming projects in the Emirate of Sharjah.
