I arrived at the Dominican Maintenance .. America confiscates a Venezuelan government plane
Rubio estimated a military airport in the capital, Santo Domingo, where the public prosecutor in the Republic and the representative of American law enforcement authorities attached a banner saying “confiscated” on a Dasso Falcon 200 plane carrying the Venezuelan flag.
US sanctions
The authorities of the Dominican Republic confiscated the plane last year after the US authorities said they had violated US sanctions imposed on Venezuela.
Venezuelan officials used the plane to travel to Greece, Turkey, Russia, Nicaragua and Cuba, and arrived in the Dominican Republic of Maintenance, according to the US State Department.
The Minister of Oil in the Maduro government also used the plane to attend a meeting of OPEC in the UAE in 2019, according to the Treasury.
The confiscation of a Venezuelan plane
In September, the United States declared during the era of President Joe Biden the confiscation of another Venezuelan government plane in the Dominican Republic that Maduro was using on international flights.
President Donald Trump has pledged to follow a hard -line policy about Venezuela, and he sought in his first presidential term to overthrow Maduro, who faced international complaints about the legitimacy of his victory in the elections.

But Trump’s special envoy to Venezuela Richard Greenil, last week, visited Maduro and secured the release of six American detainees.
Venezuela said the talks were “mutual respect”, but Rubio and other US officials stressed that Washington was still refusing to recognize Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela.
