The President of the State receives the President of South Sudan and discusses cooperation relations between the two countries

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received today His Excellency Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of South Sudan, who is on a work visit to the state.

His Highness welcomed the beginning of the meeting – which took place at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi – President Salva Kiir Mayardit, and discussed with him cooperation relations between the UAE and southern Sudan and the opportunities available to expand its horizons, especially in the fields of economics, investment, agriculture, renewable energy, infrastructure and other vital aspects that are basic pillars to accelerate development Sustainable economy and prosperity for the good of the two countries and their peoples.

The two sides also dealt with a number of issues and topics in common concern and exchanged views on them.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidential Bureau for Special Affairs and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State and His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council for National Security and His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan Minister of State and a number of senior officials.
