A Russian marine cable was damaged in the Baltic .. And Finland is watching
The Finnish Coast Guard forces announced today, Saturday, that they are monitoring the repair works carried out by a Russian ship for a damaged Russian cable in the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea.
In a post on the “X” website, the forces wrote: “The Coast Guard in the Gulf of Finland are watching a Russian ship that is conducting reforms of a broken Russian cable.”

The Finnish authorities stated that the incident, whose date was not specified in the Finnish Economic Zone.
Several marine cables linking NATO countries have been damaged or cut in recent months in the Baltic Sea.

As for the repetition of these incidents, NATO announced in January the launch of a periodic mission, aimed at protecting this sensitive underwater infrastructure.
System -ranked planes, ships and aircraft were deployed systematically as part of a new process called “Baltic Guard.”
