The Emirates Cup jumping barriers is launched in Abu Dhabi tomorrow

The Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation announced the establishment of the first edition of the Emirates Cup to jump barriers from 12 to 15 February, and coincides with it the first round of the rehabilitation qualifiers for the second version of the “Longin” Nations League 2025, with the participation of 228 horsemen and knights.

The two championships will be held in the international Al -Fursan Sports Resort in Abu Dhabi, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the sponsorship of “Longin”, and the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation, with a total prizes of 1.362,000 euros.

The opening ceremony will be launched at 6:30 pm, and the competitions are also witnessing the holding of 4 runs starting from nine in the morning, with two five -star halves and the two stars.

Longyin League competitions are witnessing the participation of the UAE national team in addition to 10 other teams, which are Belgium, France, Germany, Britain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and America.

Ghanem Al -Hajri, Secretary -General of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation stressed that the upcoming events are a prominent station in international equestrian sport, to confirm the UAE’s position as a leading sporting destination, in addition to that the country is the first and only station in the Arab world within the Longgin League for Nations chain that extends across 5 capitals.

The announcement came during a press conference today in the main meeting hall of the International Sports Resort, to reveal the latest preparations for the organization and hosting of the two competitors.

Adel Al -Yaqoubi, Director of International Events at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said that the Council is keen to cooperate with partners to achieve exceptional successes, and to contribute to supporting the two championships, and praised the efforts of the International Equestrian Federation and the Emirates Equestrian Federation in organizing such tournaments.

Hisham Al -Hosani, director of equestrian at Al -Fursan International Sports Resort, confirmed the readiness to host the two events, and to provide all the requirements of their success and distinction, while holding accompanying activities and providing several surprises to the public.
