Dubai, February 11 / WAM / His Excellency Irkli Cobachidza, Prime Minister of Georgia, confirmed that open dialogue and cooperation represents the cornerstone of strengthening partnerships between the countries of the world, indicating that the summit is a leading platform that brings together decision makers and experts to advance the wheel of positive change and formulate a safer and more prosperous future.
This came during a major speech delivered by his Excellency within the activities of the World Summit of Governments 2025, which started in Dubai today and will continue until February 13th under the slogan “Future Governments foresight”.
The Prime Minister of Georgia reviewed the economic achievements achieved by his country, as it recorded an exceptional growth rate of 9.7% between 2021 and 2023, which makes it one of the fastest growing economies according to the International Monetary Fund, and also indicated that the percentage of foreign direct investment to the GDP in Georgia is prepared Among the highest globally, exceeding 6% on average between 2022 and 2024.
“We succeeded in achieving records at the level of exports and tourism revenues, as exports grew by 7.8% to reach 6.6 billion dollars in 2024, while tourism revenues increased by 7.3% to reach 4.4 billion dollars, which is the highest number in Georgia’s history,” Kobakheedza added.
The Prime Minister highlighted the economic and legislative reforms that made Georgia one of the most attractive countries for investments, stressing that the distinguished geographical location of Georgia makes it a natural bridge between Europe, the Middle East and South Asia, which enhances its position as a global digital and logistical center.
The Prime Minister of Georgia concluded his speech by emphasizing that his country’s partnership with the Emirates is a successful model of cooperation between countries, praising the UAE approach in innovation and sustainable growth, and said, “The World Government Summit is not just a global gathering, but a real commitment to progress, with a clear vision, strong determination and goal unity, we will make Together, a more powerful and prosperous future. “
