المملكة: Kingdom 11 globally and the first region

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked 11th in the world from 40 countries in the world and the first in the Arab world and regional in the integrity of artificial intelligence, according to the Global Intelligence Safety (Gaisi).
The index announced at the Artificial Intelligence Conference in Science and Society held on the sidelines of the action summit for artificial intelligence held in Paris, in the presence of a number of leaders of the world.

Country maturity evaluation

The conference in which the Saudi Organization for Data and Artificial Intelligence “Sayya” participated in a dialogue session to discuss the outputs of the first international report for artificial intelligence safety in the world, which was published on January 29, 2025.

The global index of artificial intelligence safety (Gaisi) was prepared by the International Research Center for Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence in Beijing in cooperation with the Chinese Salama and Institute of Artificial Intelligence, and aims to evaluate the maturity of countries in the field of artificial intelligence.

A strong governance framework

The index attributed the Kingdom’s distinction in the integrity of artificial intelligence to several factors, the most prominent of which is: the remarkable rise in research related to the safety of artificial intelligence, as it reached 8.3% of the total research published globally.
In addition to the presence of a strong governance framework that supports the development of safe policies in the field of artificial intelligence, the effective contribution of the Kingdom – represented by Bashaya – in formulating international governance frameworks within global summits such as: the Summit of Artificial Intelligence in Britain, and the Soul Summit of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Korea.
In addition to the ongoing national efforts in scientific research to enhance the integrity of artificial intelligence and develop the criteria of governance.
