Dubai Health launches an initiative to enhance health awareness within government institutions

Today, the Dubai Health Authority launched the “Health Experts Network for Dubai Government employees” initiative, with the aim of promoting health awareness among government agencies in the emirate, by rehabilitating a group of government employees to be health experts who are able to spread health knowledge and culture within their work environment and societies, and define Their colleagues in effective preventive practices, which contribute to enhancing health security.
The launch of this initiative reflects the commitment of the Dubai Health Authority to develop innovative solutions and sustainable strategies, which strengthens the role of government institutions in spreading health awareness to build a healthier and happier society.
The initiative includes organizing a training program that will continue for a whole year, and at the equivalent of 50 training hours, aimed at providing the participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to transfer healthy culture effectively within work environments, through specialized theoretical and practical workshops covering the areas of public health, prevention of diseases, and awareness skills And health communication, in addition to first aid and cardiac resuscitation within the “Dubai City City” initiative, and initial psychological support within the mental health initiative.
Dr. Hind Al -Awadi, Head of the Department of Promotion and Health Education in the authority, stressed the importance of the initiative that was designed according to an integrated approach that focuses on promoting public health by spreading awareness about healthy lifestyles and empowering government employees, to be health experts who are able to transfer health knowledge to their colleagues in interactive methods And influential.
She explained that the initiative contributes effectively to enhancing institutional integration by linking government institutions to health initiatives, to create a more healthy and productive work environment, which enhances the role of government agencies in supporting Dubai’s strategic goals in the field of public health.
She said that the initiative on which the Public Health Protection Department of the Authority will be implemented according to studied stages to ensure the achievement of sustainable impact, as a health coordinator was nominated within each government agency based on a number of different criteria that guarantee the readiness of the participants and their ability to transfer health knowledge later to their colleagues and environments The surrounding.
She added that the authority will follow the periodic follow -up of the participants after the end of the training program, to ensure the application of the concepts acquired within government institutions through questionnaires and evaluation reports that measure the impact of the initiative on work environments and increase health awareness among employees.
