The UAE supports the establishment of centers for incubating families and orphanage in Ukraine with a new contribution of $ 4.5 million

Abu Dhabi, February 18/ WAM/ In the framework of its firm and continuous commitment to supporting global humanitarian efforts, the Emirates International Aid Agency signed a cooperation agreement with the Olina Zellinska Foundation, aimed at providing additional centers for incubating families and orphan care by providing a financial contribution of $ 4.5 million.
This initiative comes within the second phase of the project, as the UAE has previously built a number of shelter centers fully equipped for the incubating Ukrainian families, which contributed to providing a safe and stable environment for children who have lost the care of their relatives. The second phase aims to enhance efforts to support incubator families and provide adequate housing for children.
In this context, His Excellency Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, affirmed that the UAE continues its humanitarian commitment to the most vulnerable groups around the world, noting that this project reflects the spirit of Emirati solidarity with the friendly Ukrainian people, especially women and children who need To private care.
Her Excellency added: “This support comes within the framework of the UAE’s continuous efforts and continuously that mitigates the humanitarian repercussions caused by the war in Ukraine, where the UAE has sent to Ukraine since the beginning of the crisis, relief planes loaded with more than 1,015 tons of medical, food and relief assistance, and provided 50 An ambulance and more than 4,500 electric generators to meet the winter challenges. The UAE has supported the educational sector by providing 7,500 laptops and 10,000 school bags, and two relief ships went to Romania, bringing the total number of beneficiaries of these efforts to more than 1.2 million people Among them are a million women and children.
Her Excellency pointed to the ongoing diplomatic efforts and the successful mediations made by the UAE between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine, where the state succeeded in completing 12 mediations, bringing the total number of prisoners who were exchanged between the two countries in these mediations to 2,883.
She emphasized the commitment of the UAE to continue the efforts aimed at finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, stressing its position of calling for diplomacy and dialogue and reducing escalation.
The agreement was signed by the Emirati side, His Excellency Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Vice President of the Emirates International Aid Agency, a member of the International Humanitarian Council, during a meeting of His Excellency Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi with the first lady of Ukraine, Olina Zelinsk.
