Infrastructure, security and stability brought people to live and work in the Emirates

During his conversation with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit, Mohammed Abdullah Al -Qarqawi, the famous American broadcaster Taker Karlson confirmed that he feels personal freedom in the Emirates, more than Paris and London.

In an interview with Carlson with Al -Qarqawi, during the activities of the World Government Summit, whose activities have recently ended in Dubai, they dealt with the difference between the republican regulations and property systems.

Carlson said, to Al -Qarqawi: “If you told me 25 years ago, the world will come to the Gulf, and that 200,000 Britons will live here, I would never believe that, so I am fascinated by an important question, is: Why everyone comes to Dubai, since you grew up from Without electricity? And why did this city flourish like this? ”

Al -Qarqawi replied: “I think there are many different reasons, but as a country, and when you have a people, people want to have a vision, as they want to know where they are going. There is a solid infrastructure in the country, and we have a soft infrastructure. It is soft infrastructure and opportunities that brought people to stability and live. We live in a city that is considered the safest in the world, as Abu Dhabi came first, and Dubai ranked second. Dubai is the cleanest city in the world, and I think we are ranked first. ”

He added: «So, for us, this is the place to form a family and create business, and we have a huge market around us. When we look at India, the Central Asian countries, the Middle East and Africa, you have a population of approximately 3 billion people, and we fall in the center of the world. Our airport is the largest in the world as an international airport, and we serve a lot of people in it, and most of all, we know where we are going. This country is the future state. The state and the city either live in the past, or they move towards the future, and the businessmen who move towards the future, they come to the Emirates. ”

“I am from a country that enjoys freedom of expression, and it is truly the basis of our government, it is the first amendment to our founding document, so I looked at the monarchy as a place where people cannot say what they think freely, but after I spent a lot of time here I always felt freedom of expression, I am sure that there are limits, I have not noticed it yet, but there is a feeling that people say what they think about freely, what Your opinion? ”

Al -Qarqawi replied, “I think the West has a perception of this region, and it has its own view regarding democracy. Democracy is not only related to the vote. Rather, it relates to the open economy and human rights, and it is also about family education and the development of a business environment. For us, we look at it completely. We are a royal system, yes, but our royal system has done great things, and I will give you an example. I saw when the state was founded in 1971, and I remember that I was born at a time when there was no ongoing water in the country, and we did not have clean water, while we were witnessing the first person sending to space in the 1960s, when the Russians rose to space.

He added: «Therefore, the issue for us is not related to ownership, but rather to leadership. And our leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless him, took this state from nothing. When the state began in 1971, we had only 45 university graduates, and there were no universities, roads, or hospitals, and the state was built on the basis of vision, faith and a lot of effort. And I look today, and I say while Russia was going to space as well as America, we did not have a current water, while last week we signed an agreement with the European Union, the United States and Japan, to build the following international space station, (the lunar station), this is the story of our state.

Taker Karlson asked: How do you do all these major changes, you are a Muslim country, and it has various places of worship, without failing to do so?

“There are two reasons, the first is that people are very tolerant. Our function as a government is education, education and the preparation of the environment. Either there is an environment of hatred and racism, or there is an environment of coexistence. We were able to accomplish this through education over the years, as the prevailing perception of the Middle East is that there are ethnic problems, religious war, and various other problems. But I think that one of the most important things we achieved is not building a large airport or a large city, but rather made various nationalities and ethnicities live in the Middle East, in peace and harmony. How did we do that? It is through education and the issuance of laws and regulations, and we never tolerate any person who is not tolerant of others, or emanating from him or racism towards other nationalities. These are our values as a country. ”

Taker Carlson asked: The biggest conflicts experienced by European countries are the refugees who brought them a lot of conflicts, but that does not happen here, how did you succeed in accomplishing that?

Al -Qarqawi answered: “I think the main reason for this is that there is no unemployment, and there are the best opportunities in our country. We live in an area teeming with talents and educated people. Many young men need opportunities, and we, as a government, prepare them for the appropriate environment, by providing the appropriate environment, laws and regulations. And when we talk about the UAE, we are talking about a completely different environment, because it is about going to the future, and we are as a government, we are not ministers, but (designers), or to design a good or bad future. This is not only from now, but from ancient times. When the state began, our leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless him, is designed. When the state was a desert, Sheikh Zayed dreamed of how the state would be, and our most important resources were human resources. We unleash human energy, as the UAE has the highest percentage of enrollment in female education from high school to university, and we prepare the appropriate environment for the next talent. Our job is to build a model that suits this region. In the region, we had many models in the era of the fifties and sixties, then the American occupation of Iraq came, and they tried to establish a model in the region, but it failed miserably, and led to the outbreak of a sectarian war, and killed many of the world, and the trillion dollars spent in vain, and this is not a success of course . However, there is a growing local model called the Emirates. It is due to the motive, you must love your country, build it, do a lot of effort, and it is not only a vision, but also needs to work hard. ”

Taker Carlson asked: As an American, a citizen, proud of the republic, I am annoyed by the fact that 14 republics do nothing close to the level of the eight Arab royal countries, and 6 of them are in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the properties do better than the republics. In your opinion, what is the reason?

Al -Qarqawi replied: “Sometimes the republics do not wear a good affliction, but I believe that in the fifties and sixties there were socialist systems, and the era of the Soviet Union came, and there were many prosperous economies in their country, and they took them to the maximum, to the point that you no longer have a class Among the businessmen, there is no innovation, there is no art and culture, and what happened in reality is that society is deteriorating.

Al -Qarqawi added: “We are proud of the monarchy, and happy with them, and we can say, as you know, that the system that we have suitable for us and our values is suitable, and the country and the region fits, and in talking about the republic, I think that the system you have in the West may have been operating in the 1960s until the 1990s, now Unfortunately, there is a high crime rate, collective shooting is frequent in schools, and you see drugs, and see the homeless in the streets. ”

Al -Qarqawi said: “Let me speak about the United States, there are 770 thousand people who are homeless in the streets, and last year the number increased by 18%, in the end what we care about is human dignity, and what the government must do is building a system that enhances human dignity, and takes care of society Good. ”
