Prime Minister of Bermuda: Our relations with the UAE are about fruitful cooperation and exchange of experiences

Dubai, 5 February / WAM / His Excellency Edward David Burt, Prime Minister of Bermuda, stressed that relations between the United Arab Emirates and his country are based on fruitful cooperation, mutual benefit and exchange of experiences, especially in the field of financial services.
Burt explained, in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, during the World Government Summit 2026 in Dubai, that cooperation between the two sides was characterized by balance and complementarity, stressing that the partnership between the two countries is based on a bilateral approach that benefits both parties.
He pointed out that financial services represent one of the basic pillars of this cooperation, pointing to the memorandum of understanding on digital assets signed between the Abu Dhabi Global Market and the Bermuda Monetary Authority, and stressed that Bermuda enjoys international recognition as a pioneer and global standard in regulating digital assets.
The Prime Minister of Bermuda praised the Executive Leadership Program launched by the UAE, considering it an important initiative that contributed to providing the opportunity for senior government officials in Bermuda to benefit from the UAE’s experience in the fields of policy implementation and government transformation, and pointed to continued cooperation within the framework of the global leadership exchange program.
He explained that the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of public financial management, and are working to enhance cooperation through an upcoming memorandum of economic and technical cooperation, expressing his confidence in continuing to develop partnership relations between the UAE and Bermuda during the next stage.
