The winter season in the Emirates is a renewed historical heritage

He pointed out that the style of weather prediction in the past was primitive and dependent on visual, temporary and sensory matters, contrary to our current time, as weather forecasts became more accurate compared to what they were half a century ago, as they can be predicted for a week or a coming month.

He added that the UAE has great capabilities in this field and is characterized by the accuracy of its weather bulletins, and a large number of smart applications specializing in weather affairs are now available, stressing that the customs in the winter season are a historical heritage that is still steadfast in the era of technology and digital applications.

Al -Naqbi explained that the ancestors did not know the weather through the bulletins currently deployed on television and smart devices, but rather reached them with their instinct and their inherited experiences and the accumulation of experiences, until they mastered how to deal with them and benefit from them and move away from their danger.

He stated that some parties and institutions adopted the old “Darrar” system as a basis for modern digital applications that are concerned with the state of the weather spread on smartphones and within the reach of everyone.

And that the “Druze Account” is an old astronomical account and the only means available to the people of the Emirates at that time to know the conditions of the weather and the time of entering the seasons and winds and rain by tracking the sites of the stars, pointing out that it differs in different regions within the country.
