The Ukrainian President explains the advantages of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union

Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski said that allowing Ukraine to join the European Union is a kind of guarantee for the country’s economic security.
“First, if we are talking about economic security guarantees, this is for us the membership of the European Union,” Zellinski said at a press conference in Kiev.

He added that if Ukraine is not accepted in the Western Military Alliance (NATO), “secondly, financing for the Ukrainian army must be provided to enable it to maintain at least 800,000 soldiers.”

Economists said that if Ukraine joins the European Union, Brussels will have to pay major compensation for Kiev for years.
