European -Russian conflict

Urban also stated in a letter to European Council President Antonio Kushta, that there is difficulty in reaching a consensus on Ukraine among members of the European Union.
He wrote that there are “strategic differences in our approach to Ukraine that cannot be exceeded by formulating drafts or communication.”
Hungary was an obstacle to the unity of the European Union, regarding the war launched by Moscow.

European sanctions on Russia

Urban Brussels challenged the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last year.
His government also opposed the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Moscow, and Trump recently spoke with Putin by phone, eliminating the isolation of the Russian president from the West.
The negotiating teams from the two countries also met this week in Istanbul to resume diplomatic relations.
