Ismail Al -Sharqawi offers a prescription for attracting young people to work in the agricultural sector

Ismail Al -Sharqawi, Assistant Chairman of the Justice Party for Agricultural Affairs and a decision of the Assistant Agriculture and Food Security Committee in the national dialogue, said that the agricultural sector in Egypt and the world faces a major challenge in light of the rapid changes in the world, which is the reluctance of new generations to work in this field. Young people see it as a traditional, arduous profession that lacks a rewarding economic return compared to the opportunities available in other areas more attractive and modern, asking how to restore the cultivation to the circle of attention? What are the solutions that may push young people to return to the fields? In a press statement, Al -Sharqawi presented a set of solutions to re -attract youth to agriculture:
1. Technology revolution in agriculture: Agriculture is no longer limited to traditional tools, but rather has become dependent on modern technology. When young people realize that agriculture has become an advanced sector that keeps pace with the times, their perspective will change towards it. & nbsp;
& nbsp;
2. Stimulating investment and financial support: providing soft loans for emerging agricultural projects, supporting agricultural entrepreneurs, and improving marketing systems to ensure the sale of products at fair prices, all factors that contribute to making agriculture a successful investment, and not just a risky profession. & nbsp; & nbsp;
& nbsp;
3. Changing the stereotype through the media: The media should highlight the success stories of youth who entered the agricultural field in modern methods and achieved great success. The strengthening of agricultural culture in schools and universities, and the launch of awareness campaigns via social media, will contribute to changing the stereotypes of agriculture and making it more attractive. & nbsp;
& nbsp;
4. Agricultural education update: Developing agricultural curricula to include modern technology, agricultural business leadership, and environmental sustainability, while providing practical training courses, which will enable young people to acquire the skills required to enter the agricultural field in modern ways that achieve success and stability. & nbsp; & Quot; Al -Sharqawi & quot; Agriculture is not a past but a future, and agriculture is not just an old legacy, but rather a vital sector that carries many promising opportunities, and to ensure its continuation and prosperity, it must be made an attractive option for new generations through technology, financial support, awareness, and advanced education, which redefines the relationship between young people and agriculture, and turns it into a field full of capabilities and opportunities.
