Trump announces the inclusion of five encrypted currencies in the strategic reserve

US President Donald Trump announced today, Sunday, the names of five encrypted currencies that are expected to be included in the new American strategic reserve, which contributed significantly to their value.

Trump said on social media that the executive thing he issued last January on digital assets aims to create a stock of encrypted currencies, including Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana and Cardano. These names have not been revealed before.

These currencies witnessed an increase in their value by 8% and 62% during Sunday’s trading. Trump explained that his executive order was granted “a guidance of the presidential work group to follow up in the establishment of the strategic reserve of encrypted currencies, including Ribel, Solana and Cardano.”

He added: “I will work to make the United States the capital of cryptocurrencies in the world.”

After more than an hour of this announcement, Trump returned to confirm in another post that “Bitcoin and Ethar will undoubtedly be in the heart of the reserve, along with other valuable digital currencies.”

In the wake of this announcement, the value of the training, the largest encrypted currency in terms of market value, increased by 8% to reach 90828 dollars, while Ether, the second largest encrypted currency, increased by 8.3% to reach 2409 dollars.

It is worth noting that Trump had wide support from the encrypted currency industry during his 2024 election campaign, and soon began to support policies that serve the interests of this industry.

On the other hand, the administration of former President Joe Biden has imposed strict restrictions on encrypted currencies in an attempt to protect American citizens from fraud and money laundering.

However, cryptocurrency markets have witnessed a sharp decrease in their value recently, as major digital currencies lost all the gains they achieved after Trump’s victory in the elections.
