It also contributes to the economic empowerment of women, youth and societies, and invests in human capital and supporting livelihoods and living.
The “appropriate residence” comes as an example of the projects and initiatives of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, in order to provide the appropriate living conditions for Yemeni families.
It comes in a tripartite partnership between the program and the Al -Waleed Foundation for Humanity, and the United Nations Human Settlements Program (U -Habitat), in order to improve the living conditions of families in Aden Governorate.

The “Declaration” project in Yemen

The project, which is the first of its kind in the housing sector in the Republic of Yemen, targeted the rehabilitation of 650 housing units in the districts of Al -Mualla and Khor Maksar in Aden Governorate for the most needy families.
Thus, he achieved more than 4,500 beneficiaries representing 900 families, in an effort to find a better urban future.
The appropriate housing project contributed to building the capabilities of cadres in the field of housing, construction and construction, providing thousands of job opportunities, and hundreds of training opportunities, to deepen the impact of this type of project that contributes to supporting sustainable development.

Saudi Arabia’s support for the Yemeni people

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen presented 264 projects and development initiative in 8 basic and vital sectors: education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fish wealth, developing and supporting the capabilities of the Yemeni government, and development programs, in various Yemeni governorates.

The reconstruction efforts of Yemen

On the other hand, the Saudi program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen provides comprehensive support for the education sector that includes all its levels, whether public or higher education, in addition to technical and vocational training.
This comes through dozens of projects and development initiatives deployed in the Yemeni governorates.
On the level of public education, the program presented support projects and initiatives that included the establishment and equipment of more than 30 model schools distributed in the Yemeni governorates.
