The Saudi Al -Nasr coach is disappointed after a tie with independence

The coach of the Saudi Al -Nasr coach, Citvano Pioli, expressed his disappointment from the opportunities that his team wasted during his negative tie with its host, Tehran’s Independence team, at the (Azadi) stadium in the Iranian capital, Tehran, by going to the 16th round of the AFC Champions League.
The two teams exchanged offensive attempts during the match, without any of them succeeding in reaching the goal for the 90 minutes, to postpone the resolution of the rise for the quarter -finals, which will be held next Monday at the King Saud University Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
“Although I am happy with the performance of the players, we could have scored, but we did not succeed in that, we know that we still have the return match, and for this we will prepare for that match and we will see what will happen.”
The Italian coach talked about the absence of veteran Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of victory, from the match, saying, “We played six games in a short period, and Ronaldo suffers from a minor injury, and for this we have not been able to bring him to Iran.”
“We have had more chances of scoring than independence, and I am happy with the performance of my team players, they played well, our team does not depend on one player, and all our focus now will be on the second leg, where we will try to present a better match.”
He explained: “Our team got 6 confirmed opportunities to register, but we were unable to exploit them. Independence also got some opportunities, but now we must work to prepare ourselves for the second leg.”
He continued: “It is true that we have not achieved good results during recent matches, but we will continue to try to achieve better results.”
