Abdullah Al -Hamid attends the activities of the MWC World Conference in Barcelona

Barcelona, March 4 / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid, Chairman of the National Media Office, Chairman of the Emirates Media Council, attended the activities of the Mobile World Conference MWC 2025, which started yesterday and will continue until March 6 in Barcelona.
The conference is one of the most important global events in the communication sector and advanced technologies, which discusses the most prominent issues related to global technology governance and artificial intelligence, and brings together international organizations, government leaders and a number of major companies.
His Excellency witnessed a number of conference sessions, which he started with the “Global Technology Governance .. Facing Challenges” session, which dealt with the importance of the regulatory frameworks of cybersecurity, digital privacy, Internet management, and its role in supporting investments, protecting users and promoting the digital economy.
His Excellency also attended the session “Are we trusting in artificial intelligence?”, Which reviewed the impact of the growing artificial intelligence on the digital system, and discussed ways to achieve a balance between benefiting from its advanced potential, ensuring the protection of users and enhancing transparency and accountability.
His Excellency continued the meeting that brought together the leadership of the International Society of GSMA networks with a number of ministers and officials, where the participants discussed the strategic directions of the digital sector, and ways to enhance cooperation between governments and the private sector to achieve sustainable growth in modern technology.
His Excellency Abdullah Al Hamed stressed, in a statement on the occasion of his attendance, that advanced technology is a major driver to make a bright and sustainable future, noting that this event is a model platform for exploring the latest communication technologies, and employing it in the media scene to serve the aspirations of the media sector and keep pace with global variables and enhance the state’s position on various indicators of global competitiveness.
His Excellency stressed his keenness to participate in the activities that provide an opportunity to explore the best global practices in communication and media technologies and follow up on the latest global technological developments.
On the sidelines of the conference, His Excellency the head of the National Media Office met a number of Spanish media, as the conversation dealt with the efforts of the UAE aimed at adopting the latest technological innovations in various vital sectors, especially the media sector.
His Excellency toured a number of participating platforms, which he started with the “EMC” platform at the MWC exhibition, where His Excellency was briefed on the latest innovations and technologies provided by the group in the areas of communications, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure solutions, as well as a number of projects that aim to enhance the digital transformation in the Emirates and the various countries in which the group operates.
He praised the pioneering role played by “Ed and” in enabling media institutions to adopt the latest solutions that rise to the experience of users, accelerate media production, and enhance content efficiency, noting the innovative technologies provided by the group that open a window to the future and establish the UAE’s position as a global center for innovation, and expressed his pride in the national cadres of the group, which confirms that our youth have the ability to lead the march of digital transformation And the active contribution to building a sustainable and advanced economy.
