A 5.3 -magnitude earthquake strikes the Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean

Today, an earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale struck the Solomon Islands located in the Pacific Ocean.

The American Geological Survey reported that the earthquake center was 104 km from the capital Honara, and at a depth of 10 km below the surface of the earth.

There was no information about material or human losses due to the earthquake.
