An Egyptian young man asks for divorce because of “bankruptcy after marriage”: my life collapsed due to luxuries

An Egyptian youth filed a divorce lawsuit before the family court in Cairo, calling for an end to his marriage, justifying this with his full financial collapse since the first day of marriage, saying: “I live in a state of complete poverty due to excessive spending of my wife.”
In the details of the lawsuit published by Egyptian media, the young man said that his life was financially stable before marriage, as he was working, saving and planning a comfortable future. But he stressed that the situation changed completely after its association, adding: “My wife does not stop requesting money, and the expenses are constantly increasing, most of which are luxuries, exit, and expensive gifts.”
He explained that he repeatedly tried to discuss the matter with her, but she considered talking about money a personal insult. With the passage of time, the debts accumulated on him, and he was forced to borrow from his friends and relatives to cover the expenses of daily life, causing severe psychological stress that lost him balance.
He pointed out that he resorted to his wife’s family in an attempt to find a solution, but the differences escalated, and he ended up taking refuge in the court to request divorce, after his life – according to his description – turned into a “daily nightmare”.
