The American administration is in talks with senior Ukrainian opponents

After criticism directed by US President Donald Trump to Ukrainian President Voludimir Zellinski, representatives of the American administration held consultations with senior Ukrainian opposition politicians.
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko wrote in a post on the social networking site Facebook, that he works “publicly and transparently” with his American partners with the aim of maintaining support for Ukraine.

Danger to the state

At the same time, the Zellinski team accused not to communicate adequately with Washington, and said this “is a threat to the state.” He added that among what was discussed with American actors weapons and sanctions against Russia and the financial support of Ukraine.
Regarding Trump’s accusation that Zelinski is not ready to run in new elections, Poroshenko said: “Our team has always been and still categorically opposes the elections during the war.”

He said that the elections can only be held after signing a peace treaty and submitting martial law.

The most powerful opposition in Parliament

The Poroshenko party is currently the strongest opposition in Parliament.
Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko of the Ukrainian Union Party, or the homeland, indirectly confirmed that the White House continued with her.
“The Al -Watan Party team is holding talks with all our allies who are able to guarantee a just peace as soon as possible,” Timoshenko wrote on Facebook.
She stressed that despite this, it is not possible to talk about elections before the signing of a peace agreement.
