John Bolton attacks Trump’s contradiction as Iran is approaching the bomb

In an interview with the “Sky News Arabia” channel, the former US National Security Adviser, John Bolton, discussed the most prominent developments in the global situation and the current security issues, stressing that Iran has become very close to possessing nuclear weapons, which represents a threat not only for Israel, but to the whole world.

Bolton pointed out that the options available to deal with this threat have become very limited, especially with the increasing fears that Iranian nuclear weapons may reach terrorist groups..

Regarding the American position towards Iran, Bolton described the policies of the former US President, Donald Trump, as contradictory, as he is negotiating while threatening military strikes against the Iranian nuclear program.

He explained that Iran is unlikely to respond to these offers in light of the intransigence of the Iranian regime.

Bolton also dealt with the situation in Syria, noting that Iran’s influence in the country has declined after Bashar al -Assad’s fall.

He stressed that the current Syrian regime, despite its attempts to improve its relations with the West, is facing great challenges, especially in the face of Iran -backed terrorist groups..

With regard to the conflict in Ukraine, Bolton pointed out that the Russian military position suffers from severe weakness, but he stressed that Ukraine is able to continue fighting until its independence is achieved.

He expressed his rejection of Trump’s proposal to stop the war by making concessions to Russia, considering that this would increase Moscow’s threats and encourage it to continue the aggression..

Finally, Bolton expressed his concern about the US President’s policies towards China, noting that Trump may suddenly change his stances in the future based on his personal interests with global leaders.
