Dubai Police seizes 10 street sellers who violated public health laws and requirements

Dubai Police has seized 10 street vendors who sold food products on the public road, unlike the laws, systems, security and general safety of security, and the general safety of members of society, and given the lack of follow -up of the conditions and health controls approved by the relevant authorities.

This came within the framework of the Dubai Police campaign “Struggle begging”, which was launched during the holy month of Ramadan under the slogan “A conscious society, without begging”, aimed at enhancing awareness of the dangers of begging and preserving the security and stability of society, in addition to controlling beggars in public places.

Colonel Ahmed Al -Adidi, Deputy Director of the Criminal and Criminal Phenomena Department in the General Administration of Investigations and Criminal Investigations, said that the seizure of street vendors comes within the efforts of Dubai Police and in cooperation with its partners to achieve the highest levels of security and safety in society, and combat negative appearances in the emirate, especially since these sellers violate public safety requirements, and distort the general appearance by displaying a group of products in the roads and alleys.

Colonel Al -Adidi explained that such rejected manifestations are active in the areas of workers ’gatherings and close to their housing, calling on the public not to purchase from the street vendors or unlicensed vehicles that stand in public roads, and deal only with licensed facilities to secure food needs, in order to preserve their health and safety of their food.

For his part, Lt. Col. Talib Al -Amiri, Head of the Combat Capital Control Department, said that the risks of buying food products from street vendors or through unlicensed vehicles that stand on public roads are large, given the possibility of violating health requirements, food and food safety standards, poor supply and storage, which may result in damage to these products, and exposing consumers to severe health risks.

Lt. Col. Talib Al -Amiri explained that the Dubai Police is continuing to control violators around the clock, as part of its Ramadan campaign in cooperation with the partners, pointing to the importance of not dealing with street vendors, and submitting a communication about these violations by calling the number 901 and via the “Police Ain” service on the Dubai Police application
