المملكة: Watch Jeddah schools celebrate the Saudi Flag Day with qualitative national activities

Today, Tuesday, Jeddah Schools witnessed distinguished festive activities on the occasion of the Saudi Flag Day, which falls on March 11 of each year, in commemoration of the anniversary of King Abdulaziz – may God rest his soul – for the Saudi flag in its current form, a symbol of unity, strength and prosperity.

The Director General of Education in Jeddah, Manal Al -Lahibi, emphasized that this national occasion aims to consolidate the value of science in the conscience of male and female students, and to introduce them to its ancient history and deep connotations, which contributes to strengthening their national identity and consolidating the principles of good citizenship.

It also stressed the importance of educating students about the protocols of raising the flag and folding it, in addition to the systems related to its use properly.
School activities were varied on this occasion, as the Saudi flag was raised in the school arenas, and part of the first session to talk about its history and its importance was allocated. Cultural competitions were also launched, such as the “My Culture Secret Culture” competition, and another under the title “My Word on the Day of Science”, in addition to employing art education classes in expressing the occasion through creative works that reflect the pride of students with their national code.
