The luxury transport sector in Dubai records a record of 44% in 2024

Dubai, March 11 / WAM / The luxury transport sector in Dubai achieved 44% growth in the number of trips in 2024, compared to 2023, with a total of 43 million and 443 thousand and 678 trips, compared to 30 million and 219 thousand and 821 trips in 2023, recording the highest growth rate during the past years in luxury transport services through electronic reservation.
Adel Shakeri, director of the Planning and Business Development Department at the Public Transportation Foundation at the Roads and Transport Authority, said that the number of passengers transferred across the sector reached 75 million and 592 thousand passengers in 2024, compared to 52 million, 582 thousand and 488 passengers in 2023, with a growth rate of 44%, which reflects the increasing economic mobility in the emirate.
He added that electronic reservation trips increased by 32% to 32 million and 556 thousand and 975 flights in 2024, compared to 24 million and 616 thousand and 527 trips in 2023, and the number of companies operating from 9 companies in 2023 increased to 13 companies in 2024, and the fleet of vehicles increased from 12 thousand and 602 vehicles, to 16 thousand and 396 vehicles during the same period.
