Federal Taxes: The end of March is the deadline for updating records without administrative fines

Abu Dhabi, March 13 / WAM / The Federal Tax Authority renewed its invitation to the registrars who are late to update their tax records to benefit from the period of allowing the correction of the tax record information without paying administrative fines, indicating the end of the period of allowing the end of this month of March 2025.
The commission stated in a press statement today that, according to the Cabinet Resolution regarding the executive regulations of the decree of a federal law on tax procedures; The registrants must notify the Federal Tax Authority, according to the model and the mechanism approved in it, with any change in their statements reserved with the authority within 20 working days, and the failure to notify these changes during the specified period is a tax violation that results in the imposition of administrative fines.
She pointed out that it is the data that must be updated during the specified legal period; The name, address, email, registered activity in the commercial license, legal form and partnership contract for joint coalitions, establishment contract and equivalent, the nature of the registered work, and the title from which the registrar practices any works.
The authority added that to encourage the registrants to update their records with the authority; The Council of Ministers issued a decision during the past year to implement a grace period that the regions may correct the information of their tax records without paying administrative fines, indicating that administrative fines will not be imposed on the registrants who update the information of their tax records with the authority during the period of allowing that started on the first of January 2024 and ends on March 31, 2025, while the cases where administrative fines were imposed already during the period Update the information about the registrants within 20 working days; These fines will be canceled.
She emphasized that this decision came in the interest of continuing to support those who are subject to tax and encourage them to adhere to tax procedures and legislation to avoid fines, and to provide more facilities to reduce the tax burden on the business sectors to enhance its effective contribution to advancing the growth of the national economy.
