release "Hamdan Award – ALECSO Digital Innovations in Education"
Dubai, March 14 / WAM / The Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences launched, in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALCO) “The Hamdan – ALCO Award for Digital Innovations in Education”, which aims to encourage innovative digital solutions in the Arab education sector, and enhance digital transformation by employing the latest technologies to support the quality of education.
Dr. Khalifa Al -Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, stressed that the award comes within the framework of continuous efforts to support innovation in education, and to take advantage of the enormous capabilities provided by modern technology, noting that digital innovation has become an essential element in developing the educational process and enabling teachers and students from more advanced and effective educational tools.
The award aims to highlight the distinguished initiatives that contribute to improving teaching and learning by employing techniques such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and analyzing huge data, in support of building a more efficient and sustainable educational environment.
The award is in line with the UAE Vision 2071 aimed at building an advanced knowledge economy and enhancing the state’s position as a global center for innovation in smart education and includes individuals and institutions in all Arab countries and targets students, teachers and workers in educational institutions, in addition to researchers and developers in the fields of technology and education technologies.
At the level of institutions, the award opens its doors to ministries, governmental and private bodies and institutions, in addition to companies specialized in educational technology, according to the conditions and standards approved.
The financial value of the award is $ 25,000 for each winner, which reflects the Foundation’s commitment to support the creators and enable them to turn their ideas into digital educational solutions that contribute to the development of the education sector in the Arab world.
