Laila Al -Shaer .. The first Emirati businessman to provide ambulances for patients and companies

The Emirati entrepreneur, Laila Al -Shaer, started her project, “Hanover BNT Medical Services”, as a simple home care project in 2014, after her experience in caring for her sick elderly father, and hearing about the difficulties facing some families in providing medical care for their patients, especially the elderly.
The project went through multiple development stages during the past years, interspersed with many challenges, but turned it into success, so that Laila Al -Shaer becomes the first Emirati businessman to establish a company working in the field of home care and first aid, and provides ambulances for patients in homes and private and large companies.
Doctors and nurses also provide home patients, and established a medical training center to graduate nursing aid to provide home care to patients.
the elderly
In detail, Laila Al -Shaer, who holds a diploma in a business administration from a Dubai university, who holds a Bachelor’s degree from a university in the United States of America, said that she loves medicine and serving children and the elderly, after she had an experiment to take care of her sick father, and touched the suffering of family and friends to care for their patients, and the difficulty of finding nurses and medical staff trained at a high level to take care of them.
The poet stressed that success does not coincidentally or easily, and that she faced many challenges, as she opened her new company in the same year that witnessed the closure of her old company, with her partner, to start “from scratch”, as she faced several challenges because of the “Corona” pandemic, but turned her into a launch of her company.
She added that one of the most prominent challenges she faced is that she is a young Emirati woman, competing with men of multiple nationalities to enter the tenders and obtain private contracts, and that there is fierce competition and complex requirements to obtain supply contracts, noting that she was able to obtain 10 contracts to provide their services, most notably contracts with schools, nurseries, medical clinics, companies and construction sites in several emirates, most notably Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Big project
She explained to «Emirates Today», that “(the project) has evolved greatly during years, from a small home care project to a large project that also provides first aid services, providing ambulances for patients in homes and private and large companies, and providing doctors and nurses for patients in homes. The project also includes a medical training center to graduate nursing aid to provide home care to patients, and to provide services in many of the state’s emirates, led by Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The poet pointed out that the project also provides comprehensive integrated medical services, such as dialysis services, sugar measurement, pressure and full care for chronic diseases who cannot serve themselves.
Ambulance cars
She noted that the Khalifa Fund for Project Development, for months, agreed to give it funding to buy ambulances to rent to serve patients, especially senior citizens who need to move from one emirate to another, in the event of an appointment for them with a doctor or in a hospital in another emirate, as well as providing service in occasions, celebrations and large festivals, and companies, especially contracting companies that need this service, given the presence of a large number of workers, reaching thousands in work sites, This is in order to provide security and safety requirements, noting at the same time, that the “company” provides free support for families who cannot bear the cost of these services.
The poet noted that the facilities provided by the Khalifa Fund, in this regard, were made after studying the project and verifying its economic feasibility, especially since the price of a single ambulance exceeds 200 thousand dirhams, explaining that it obtained funding from the fund, with an easy loan, which helped it to develop the project, and provide a service that is the first of its kind.
She advised novice entrepreneurs to be fully aware of business administration, and not to choose their field of work randomly, but rather after a full study of the successes, challenges and similar projects in this field.
She also advised new entrepreneurs to work hard to educate themselves in their field of work permanently, learn about the latest services that can be provided, and to obtain training courses before entering the field of business administration. I also advised them to love their field of work, to give him all the effort and time, and learn from the mistakes of the former, so that they do not repeat with them, and lead to the stumbling of their projects.
