The “Guardians of Heritage” conference in Fujairah discusses the use of artificial intelligence in reviving the Emirati heritage

Fujairah, 18 January / WAM / The “Guardians of Heritage” conference was launched today in Fujairah, with the participation of an elite group of academics, researchers and specialists in cultural and heritage affairs, who presented rich readings on the Emirati heritage from contemporary cognitive angles, combining authenticity, technology and community awareness.

The conference sessions discussed multiple topics, including the use of artificial intelligence in reviving Emirati heritage, the role of education in protecting identity and cultural memory, in addition to highlighting the importance of youth blogging, preserving audio memory, and drawing inspiration from heritage in contemporary Emirati literature.

Manal Al-Naqbi, Director of Dar Al-Muhit Publishing House, said that the “Guardians of Heritage” conference embodies the house’s belief that heritage is a project of renewed awareness that forms the pillar of identity, stressing that the conference opens a serious intellectual dialogue about protecting the Emirati heritage and re-presenting it in the language of the era through education, literature and modern technologies, ensuring its sustainability and access to future generations, and enhancing the role of culture as an effective soft force in the Emirati knowledge scene.

The participants discussed ways to move heritage from the sphere of conservation to the space of interaction and creativity, in order to consolidate its presence in societal awareness and keep pace with the transformations of the times.

The “Guardians of Heritage” conference, organized by Dar Al-Muhit, comes with the aim of consolidating the status of heritage in the contemporary cultural scene, and enhancing its role in building humanity and preserving national identity, through modern cognitive approaches and responsible cultural dialogue.
