Sharjah, on March 17 / WAM / The shareholders of “Air Arabia”, during the annual general assembly meeting held yesterday evening, agreed to distribute profits of 25% of the capital for the fiscal year ending in 2024, equivalent to 25 fils per share, which reflects the strong financial performance of the economic air carrier who won several awards.

The recommendation of the Board of Directors comes in the wake of the strong financial results achieved by “Air Arabia”, during the expired fiscal year, as the company recorded record net profits before the tax of 1.6 billion dirhams, an increase of 4 % compared to 2023.

During the meeting, the General Assembly approved the report of the auditors, the public budget and the profit accounts and losses for the expired fiscal year 2024, as well as to discourage the members of the Board of Directors and audit auditor from responsibility for the same period, and appointed auditors for the company for the new fiscal year, and set their fees.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Air Arabia”, said that the Arab Aviation Group continued, despite geopolitical tensions and economic challenges taking place in the aviation sector, achieving exceptional growth in 2024 supported by increasing operational capacity, launching new destinations and continuous expansion of its network, noting that these results reflect the group’s firm commitment to providing a distinguished travel experience, enhancing its global presence and consolidating the standards of operational excellence as confirms as confirms The strong financial and operational performance of the group over the effectiveness of its business model, its strategic vision and the efficiency of the management team.

During the past year, “Air Arabia” added 31 new destinations, starting from its six operations centers in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt and Pakistan, and the carrier received 10 new planes to end the year with a fleet of 81 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft operating through 220 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.
