4 – The Medal of Preserving the Environment

The former Pakistani President, Farouk Lejari, granted the Medal of Preserving the Environment, to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, who is granted for the first time to a head of state, in appreciation of his continuous efforts and his contribution to preserving the environment, developing the natural resources of the UAE, spreading the agricultural area, and expanding it on the land of the state.

5 – Environmental Prize Prize

Prize Grant Site: Arab Cities Organization – Kuwait

Year of obtaining the prize: 1998

The Arab Cities Organization was awarded in its sixth session held in Doha on March 28, 1998, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Environmental Prize in appreciation and gratitude for his distinguished and prominent personal efforts in the field of environmental preservation, and his distinguished interests at the personal and official levels in the fields of afforestation, preparation and the establishment of natural reserves. He also announced at the ceremony held in Doha, each of Abu Dhabi won the first place, and Dubai City of Architectural Heritage and Environmental Awareness.

6- Islamic Personality Award

In the month of April 2005, the United Nations Environment Program (Univers) chose the late Sheikh Zayed one among the seven international figures as heroes of the Earth, in recognition and appreciation for his efforts to protect the environment in the United Arab Emirates and in other regions of the world.

9 – Among the 10 leaders who contributed to “re -making” their countries

Prize Grant Site: American Newsweek Journal – America

Year of obtaining the prize: 2009

In September 2009, the American Newsweek magazine chose the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, on a list that included 10 world leaders, from the post -World War II period, which said that they contributed to the “re -manufacture” of their countries, and the magazine said: The forgiven was created in establishing the United Arab Emirates, making it a modern regional economic power, enjoying religious tolerance, and free policies regarding women’s rights.

10 – World Food Day Medal
