المملكة: An integrated plan to host 10,000 retreat in the Two Holy Mosques
The head of religious affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abd al -Rahman al -Sudais, the necessity of providing an appropriate environment that helps the retreat on reverence and drawing closer to God, stressing the importance of completely devotion to worship, sincerity of intention, and avoiding everything that concerns the heart from dhikr and obedience.
He explained that i’tikaaf is one of the great acts of worship that should be given its right to celibacy and reverence, and not to be preoccupied with any other matters that have been acted from achieving their purposes.
50 lessons on i’tikaaf rulings
Sheikh Al -Sudais directed the specialized agencies in the presidency on the necessity of intensifying awareness and guidance efforts, by providing more than 50 scientific lessons on the provisions of i’tikaaf and its etiquette.
In addition to organizing Quranic episodes that help the retreating to correct the recitation and reflection in the verses of the Holy Quran, while providing practical directives on how to use i’tikaaf times in obedience and worship.
The presidency strengthened the sites devoted to i’tikaaf in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque with a set of integrated services that guarantee the comfort of the retreat, and help them achieve the purposes of legal i’tikaaf, while adhering to the organizations that guarantee the provision of an atmosphere of tranquility and reverence.
I’tikaaf starts Thursday
It is scheduled to start i’tikaaf from Thursday evening, the night of the 21st Ramadan, as the presidency is preparing to receive the retreating according to an organized mechanism, which ensures adherence to the etiquette of i’tikaaf and the maximum benefit from these blessed days, amid an integrated system of enrichment services that rise to the experience of the retreat in the holiest parts of the earth.
