An employee of the United Nations Office for Project Services in Gaza was killed

The office added that today’s incident comes in the wake of air strikes that was launched yesterday and damaged the building, a site that was coordinated with the Israeli army.

The office also indicated that it was reported that at least five people were injured, many of whom were very dangerous, adding that there is no confirmation yet of the nature of the accident, but the site is isolated.

He added that what was stated to his knowledge is that an explosive ammunition was thrown or called the infrastructure and exploded inside the building, indicating that it is not yet known the type of ammunition (air weapons, artillery, missile).

The office said it should be noted that the removal of unexploded munitions from the site was not done through any procedure. He explained that since the end of the ceasefire in Gaza, hundreds of people have been killed as the deadly air strikes resumed.

Unbearable

The Executive Director of the United Nations Project Services Office Georgy Morira da Silva said this was not “An accident” He added that what is happening in Gaza is unbearable.

He added: “I am very shocking and sad about this tragic news. I have seen the absolute dedication of our team in Gaza last month. They should not target, they and the United Nations staff and their headquarters, never. I extend my sincere condolences to all the affected.”.

He stressed that the attacks on the headquarters of humanitarian work are a violation of international law, calling on all parties to protect the United Nations employees and their headquarters. He pointed out that the civilian population depends on the United Nations to obtain life -saving aid, as they are an essential lifestyle in times of comprehensive tragedy and destruction.

He renewed the United Nations call to resume the ceasefire, re -introduce humanitarian aid without obstacle, and to release the remaining hostages without registration or condition. The UN official stated that more information will be published when the details are available.
