London .. A fire at a power station that causes Haitro Airport to be closed temporarily

Heathro International Airport – one of the most crowded European airports – was closed to air navigation today, Friday, after a fire broke out at a neighboring sub -power station that caused a widespread power outage.
The airport administration stated that the closure of the airport will continue until 23:59 pm today, in order to preserve the safety of travelers and workers, noting that the fire that broke out at the sub -power station in the Hayes area led to the cessation of basic operating services inside the airport.

Travelers safety procedures

The airport administration called on travelers to avoid heading to the airport, and to follow up the airlines instructions to obtain updates and information related to their air flights.
For its part, the London Fire Band explained that about 70 firefighters began their duties at the site of the fire, noting that approximately 150 people from the neighboring areas were evacuated, and a precautionary security cordon imposed a diameter of 200 meters to ensure public safety.
For his part, Patrick Gulporen Police Commissioner assistant confirmed that the accident is one of the major incidents, and that the emergency teams will remain at the site until full control of the situation, noting the possibility of disturbances to escalate with the early morning hours, calling on citizens to avoid the area and not to gather near the accident site.
