The United Nations announced that it would reduce its presence in Gaza after the killing of five employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) during the war launched by the Israeli occupation on the Strip. Today, Monday- the Secretary-General made a difficult decision to reduce the presence of the organization in Gaza, even in light of the increasing humanitarian needs and increased concern about the protection of civilians. UNRWA last Thursday that 5 of the agency’s employees were killed in the Gaza Strip in the past few days.
