“Emirates Fatwa” explains the amount of zakat al -Fitr, the time to pay it and the legal ruling

The Emirates Legal Fatwa Council issued a statement explaining the zakat of Al -Fitr for the year 1446 AH/2025 AD, Al -Maqar, the time of directing, and legal ruling.

He emphasized that the concept is a specific amount of the dominant food (rice) or its value, and every Muslim is a large, male or female.

He added that zakat al -Fitr is estimated at the rice of rice (2.5 kg), which is valued at 25 dirhams.

Sharia ruling

He explained that zakat al -Fitr is obligatory for every Muslim who is able to pay it from himself and whoever is obligated to spend (such as the parents ’wife, children).

Time to take it out

And about the time of its exit, he confirmed that it comes out between the dawn prayer and the Eid prayer, and it may be taken out two days before the Eid, as it is correct to take it out from the beginning of the month of Ramadan when there is need.

He added that whoever wants to be removed through the approved charities in the country, it must be delivered early in order to be delivered at the time specified legally.

The council affirmed that it is not permissible to delay it on the day of the feast, and the last of it must be removed from the judiciary.
