The opening of the annual Conference of the Asian Forum of Bouo 2025 in China

Bouo – China on March 25 / WAM / started today in the city of Bawo, Hainan Province, in southern China, the annual conference of the Poao Asia 2025 Forum, with the participation of approximately 2000 participants from more than 60 countries and regions.
The forum will be held this year under the slogan “Asia in the changing world … towards a common future” and extends over four days full of discussions and sessions.
The Central China channel reported that the forum includes more than 50 events and multiple bilateral sessions, and the discussions focus on four main axes that include building confidence and enhancing cooperation in a rapidly changing world, restoring balance for globalization for comprehensive development, accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals, and enhancing the application of artificial intelligence and supportive governance of innovation.
Zhang Jeon, Secretary -General of the Asian Boa Forum, said during a press conference today, that the topic of the forum reflects urgent global issues and challenges, and aims to send a strong message to the international community of the importance of enhancing confidence and cooperation to build a better future.
The press conference witnessed the issuance of two annual reports, “Asian economic prospects and the progress made in integration”, and “confronting climate change … Asia is heading towards sustainability”, where the first confirmed that Asia will remain the main driver of global economic growth, and a vital center in global value chains, with the continued role of China as a manufacturing center, while the second report highlighted the progress achieved by Asia in adopting technologies Green, and expects its leadership in future sectors such as advanced batteries, biomedic, tidal energy, and green hydrogen.
Zhang Jeon emphasized the pivotal role of the Asian economy in the stability of the global economy, noting that free trade agreements, especially the comprehensive regional economic partnership agreement (RCEPA), is achieving remarkable progress, and stressed the importance of the digital and green economy in promoting services trade.
Zhang Yue Yan called on the director of the Institute of Economics and World Policy at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences to enhance confidence in the future of Asia, noting expectations of an Asian economic growth of 4.5% in 2025, and the rise in Asia’s share in the global economy from 48.1% last year to 48.6% this year according to the purchasing power rate.
It is noteworthy that the Boao Asia Forum, which was established in 2001, is a leading platform for dialogue between governments, business sectors, academic circles and regional and international organizations, to discuss economic, social and environmental issues, enhance economic cooperation, and support sustainable development efforts in Asia and the world.
