Abu Dhabi, April 6 / WAM / The “42 Abu Dhabi Academy”, “Innovative Palfation Academy” plays a pioneering role in empowering young people and providing them with the skills of programming and knowledge necessary to contribute to achieving the state’s vision to build a more innovative and advanced future in the field of modern technologies and artificial intelligence applications.
The Academy, which is one of the initiatives of the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi, aims to support the continuous development efforts in the emirate by strengthening the specific education system and providing opportunities to learn programming for all, especially with its implementation of a participatory and innovative educational system based on a peer education system; Where students learn from each other without the presence of teachers or classes.
Dr. Ahmed Al -Shuaibi, Acting CEO of the 42nd Abu Dhabi Academy, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, “WAM”, that the academy has witnessed a great demand from students since its inception, and has succeeded in building a strong strategic partnership network, and that it continues to play a pivotal role in supporting the goals of developing a talent incubator and consolidating the culture of innovation in society, pointing out that diploma programs have received more since its launch since its launch From 900 students, while the programs and competitions of the evaluation program for the acceptance of students “Betyn” attracted more than 10,000 students.
He pointed out that the focus of the 42nd Abu Dhabi Academy centered on enabling programmers, thinkers and passionate students, regardless of their backgrounds, to upgrade their skills in the field of programming through learning based on applied practice, where the latest technologies and methods of innovative thinking are used to help care for the best talents in the field of programming.
He explained that the academy depends on a pioneering academic approach that encourages students to team work and learning from each other, which provides a platform for cultural and cognitive exchange, and enhances the values of tolerance and coexistence, which contributes to preparing a generation of graduates who are able to work effectively in multicultural environments, and support the state’s vision in building a coherent and prosperous society.
He stated that the Hakathon and workshops organized by the academy receive students of 58 nationalities, who have various backgrounds, including engineers, teachers, psychiatrists, archaeologists, entrepreneurs, university students and other groups of society.
Students of the Academy also hold different academic grades, including 3% of the diploma degree holders, 10% hold a master’s degree, 49% of the bachelor’s degree, 37% of university students, and 1% of PhD holders.
He stressed that the “General Society” initiative constitutes a strong boost in the academy’s efforts to prepare generations and leaders of the future, and motivates it to develop programs and initiatives that enhance students’ participation in community service and volunteer work, noting that the 42nd Abu Dhabi Academy has provided in this context, free educational programs that depend on project learning, which allows students the opportunity to apply their skills in real projects that serve society.
He pointed out that the academy opens its doors to all groups of society, even if they do not have previous experience in the field of programming or technology, and that its indicators show that 56% of students do not have any previous experiences in the field of programming.
He explained that the “Year of Society” constitutes a golden opportunity to enhance the culture of innovation among students, and that the academy’s efforts focus on encouraging students to develop technical solutions that serve society and enhance the spirit of their initiative, which is what it works to achieve through its various initiatives, which include organizing challenges and “Hakathon” competitions that target different age groups and all professional disciplines in society.
Dr. Al -Shuaibi pointed out that the academy is preparing to expand in societal events and initiatives that enhance the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, and contribute to building a society based on knowledge and technology, as it will use its expertise and partnerships to support entrepreneurship and encourage entrepreneurs in the field of smart technologies and software, as well as offering more specialized educational programs in the field of programming.
He pointed to the conclusion of the academy 17 partnerships with leading institutions at the local and global levels in the various vital community sectors, and their cooperation with more than 31 entities to employ its students.
