The Myanmar government honors the Emirates Research and Rescue team in appreciation of its humanitarian efforts

Naibidao on April 6 / WAM / The government of the Republic of Myanmar honored the Emirates Research and Rescue Team, in appreciation of the great efforts made during its implementation of humanitarian and relief tasks in the areas affected by the earthquake that recently struck Myanmar, and caused great loss of lives and property.

His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs in the Myanmar government and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs during the honor praised the prominent humanitarian role of the United Arab Emirates, and the effective and rapid support it provides to the countries affected by natural disasters, stressing that the presence of the Emirati team contributed significantly to saving lives and mitigating the suffering of the affected.

His Excellency honored Colonel Muzaffar Mohamed Al -Amri, the commander of the Emirates Research and Rescue Team, and Lt. Col. Hamad Muhammad Al -Kaabi, the deputy leader of the team, praising their professional competence, the team’s distinguished efforts and fruitful cooperation with local authorities and international teams in the field.

During the meeting, a presentation was presented on the latest developments in the search and rescue operations, as the minister announced that all field operations officially stopped after completing the urgent response stages.
During the meeting, memorial shields were exchanged between the Emirates Research and Rescue Team, both the Myanmar, Vietnamese, Singaporean and French teams, in addition to discussing operational plans and exchanging experiences in a way that enhances the readiness of the emergency teams in the future.

Colonel Muzaffar Mohamed Al -Amri, the UAE leader for research and rescue, expressed at the end of the team’s mission, his pride in this honor, stressing that it embodies the confidence of the international community in the efficiency of the Emirates teams and its high ability to respond in emergency conditions, stressing that the honor comes in appreciation of the great field efforts made by the team members in a difficult and exceptional environment, and reflects the confidence of the international community with the high efficiency of the rescue teams Emirati.

For his part, Lt. Col. Hamad Muhammad Al -Kaabi, Deputy Commander of the Emirates Research and Rescue Team, indicated that this honor embodies the UAE’s commitment to its firm humanitarian approach, which it proceeds with the directives of its rational leadership, by standing with the people affected by crises and disasters throughout the world.

He added that the team is proud to represent the state in such tasks, carrying a message of solidarity and peace that goes beyond the borders, stressing the continued commitment to its responsibilities in supporting the affected societies, and consolidating the presence of the UAE in the fields of global humanitarian work.

The UAE had rushed in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, urgently to send the search and rescue team to support the search and rescue efforts for those affected by the effects of the earthquake that struck the Republic of the Union of Mainmar, to continue to embody the values ​​of cooperation, solidarity and global synergy, through the speed of helping the affected, wounded and injured, and alleviate the suffering of the affected.
