A helicopter was destroyed while putting out a fire in South Korea … and the killing of its leader

A helicopter crashed during an operation to put out a fire in southeastern South Korea today, Sunday, killing its leader, according to the local firefighting agency on Sunday.
The Fire Control Office said that the fire that occurred at Tal in the city of Daiju was put out an hour after its outbreak, and the identity of the leader of the helicopter and the cause of the accident was not immediately known.

The fires erupted in the city of Angong, southeast Korea, and the authorities deployed eight firefighting helicopters, with plans to publish more helicopters in the region.

The death toll from the forest fires that erupted last weekend in South Korea increased to 29 people and 40 wounded, ten of them are in critical condition.
